Hicham Chahine is Co-Founder and Co-CEO of NIP Group (NASDAQ: NIPG), where he is leading the company's rapid expansion into Bitcoin mining and digital infrastructure. Under his leadership, NIPG scaled from zero to 11.3 EH/s of Bitcoin mining capacity in under six months, establishing the company as one of the fastest-growing public miners globally, and the largest in the MENA region.
Prior to NIPG's digital infrastructure expansion, Hicham acquired the esports organization Ninjas in Pyjamas in 2016 and built it into a global gaming and entertainment platform reaching hundreds of millions of fans. His background spans finance and entrepreneurship - from 2008 to 2016, he directed hedge fund investments at Formue, the Nordic region's largest wealth management firm, and in 2010 founded Diglife AS, a private equity firm focused on lifestyle, gaming, and technology investments.
Hicham brings a unique perspective to Bitcoin mining through his combination of financial markets experience, operational scale-up expertise, and deep understanding of digital communities and fan engagement. He is based in Abu Dhabi, where NIPG operates under a partnership framework with the Abu Dhabi Investment Office. He holds a bachelor's degree in business and economics from BI Norwegian Business School.
